(Kansas City, Kansas) Lakeside Speedway will host one of its biggest events of the year this Friday and Saturday when the Joe Berry Clash of the B-Mods takes the headlines.

Racing begins on Friday for night one of the Joe Berry Clash with B-Mods, A-Mods, Stock Cars, E-Mods, and Grand Nationals in action. B-Mods will have a night one, $500-to-win, $160-to-start Scramble with the top 12 drivers advancing to the night two finale starting grid.

The entry for B-Mod drivers is $120 for two days, this includes Driver’s Friday and Saturday pit passes. There is a one-day entry available for $100, which includes the Driver’s single-day pit pass.

Stock cars also have a big payout weekend awaiting with $1,500-to-win on the line. Stock Car events include a night one Scramble paying $200 to win and $75 to start with the Top 12 finishers moving to the night two starting grid. The Stock Car Entry Fee for two days is $90 and includes Driver’s pit pass for both days. A single-day Stock Car entry is available for $70 and includes Driver’s pit pass.

Increased purse money also awaits E-Mod drivers as they begin their two nights of action with a $175-to-win Scramble on night one that pays $60 to start. The top 12 from the scramble will advance to the $1,000-to-win finale on Saturday. The E-Mod entry fee is $90 for both days and includes the Driver’s pit pass. The one-day entry fee is $70 and includes Driver’s pit pass.

Friday and Saturday Timelines: Pit Gate Opens at 5, Spectator Gate Opens at 6, Driver’s Meeting at 7, Hot Laps at 7:15, with Racing at 8.

On Saturday, the weekend of special events concludes with $3,000-to-win B-Mods, $1,500-to-win Stock Cars, and $1,000-to-win E-Mods. Pure Stocks also join in on the action for their makeup Karl Tinsley Memorial with an increased payout.

Pure Stock drivers will compete under the MO-KAN Pure Stock rules, which are conveniently located on the speedway website at www.lakesidespeedway.net, from there, click on the RULES/FORMS link at the top of the page and scroll down to select “2020 Mo-Kan Pure Stock Rules.”

The B-Mod main pays $200 to start with tow money at $50. The Stock Car start money is $160 and $50 tow while the E-Mod start money is $150 and $50 tow.

After races were canceled last weekend, Lakeside Speedway announced the conclusion of the weekly championship point chase and the 2020 Track Champions: Pure Stocks – Gary Billings, E-Mods – Rodney Schweizer, Grand Nationals – Darren Kling, Stock Cars – Tim Shields, B-Mods – Patrick Royalty, and A-Mods – Tyler Hibner. Congratulations to the drivers and crews on their accomplishments!

COVID-19 related social distancing is recommended and masks are required per the Kansas Governor’s executive order. Concessions are limited at this time due to national food shortages related to COVID-19. Lakeside Speedway will follow CDC Recommendations, which may affect logistics and “normal” operating procedures. Attendees are responsible for their own personal protective equipment and decisions regarding attendance and social distancing.
