It is time once again for Noah’s Bandage Project to take the spotlight at Lakeside Speedway on Friday for another ground-pounding night of Racing on the River’s Edge! Speedway staff want to remind the outstanding drivers and fans to bring your boxes of kids colorful Band-Aids to bring and exchange for potentially hundreds of dollars in raffle items!

Silent Auction items for Noah’s Bandage Project this year include signed memorabilia, Richard Petty NASCAR High-Speed Ride along, a Monster Energy hood, diecast late model, diamond necklace, Dott basket, and much more! Plus, we will have Noah’s Night at the Races T-shirts available for purchase!

This event is in conjunction with Lakeside Speedway’s First-Annual E-mod Explosion, a $750-to-win E-Mod special event! However, the winner’s share could be even more if 24 or more cars compete in the night’s action. If the 24-car plateau is reached, the race will pay a whopping $1,000 to win! This race is sponsored by Valvoline oil and all winners will receive contingency awards from Valvoline. Additional contingency prizes will be awarded throughout the E-Mod main event starting grid. Non-Lakeside E-Mod drivers are encouraged to call the track at (913) 299-9206 prior to race day to ensure their cars are legal to run this event.

In addition to the aforementioned excitement, Friday also marks ‘Police, Fire, and First Responder’s Night at the Races’ with these personnel receiving free general admission with a valid I.D. upon presentation at the general admission ticket booth.

In the chase for the weekly point series championships we find Billy Spilman leads the way in the E-mod division as he looks to shine in the E-Mod explosion on Friday. Ben Stockton remains second followed by Shawn Burns. Despite some recent misfortune, Marshall Jewett continues to pave the way in the Factory Stocks with last week’s feature winner Wayne Brooke and Matthew Matsukevich second and third. Kacey Shields holds a 30-point advantage over Don Marrs in the Grand Nationals as Nick Newton occupies third.

In the USRA divisions, Kevin Anderson leads Brett Heeter and David Oxford in the Stock Car class. In B-Mods, Tim Powell is the leader by 12 markers over Brad Smith while Luke Nieman holds strong in third. For Modifieds, it is Mark Schafman who commands the top with a sizable lead over Kerry Davis and Tim Karrick.

Friday also marks the final week of the ‘Smokin’ Hot Summer Series. The Lakeside Speedway portion of the mini-series comes to a close among the ranks of USRA classes, including Factory Stocks, B-Mods, and Modifieds competing under the USRA banner. The series concludes on Saturday at I-35 Speedway.
