USAC Sprint Cars double down at Lakeside Speedway

The USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series is preparing for a doubleheader at the Lakeside Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, June 25-26.

Brady Bacon leads the series into the week, carrying a 29-point advantage after a trio of podium finishes in last week’s “Eastern Storm” events in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Recent Indy 500 competitor Bryan Clauson, Chad Boespflug, Chris Windom, Jarett Andretti. Kevin Thomas Jr. and Thomas Meseraull, Chase Stockon, Shane Golobic, Robert Ballou and the legendary Dave Darland are a few of the names that race fans can expect to see tackle the historic 4/10-mile dirt oval on the river's edge.  Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. both days. General admission is $20 for adults with members of the military and seniors with valid ID get in for $17. Kids ages 7-12 are $10 while children 6 and under are free. Suites are $30 per adult and all kids up to 12 years old are $10. Terrace spectators get in for $20 with kids ages 7-12 just $10 (must have terrace voucher to purchase ticket). Pit passes are $35 or $10 for chilren ages 7 and under.

 Support classes will be USRA Stock Cars on Saturday and USRA B-Mods on Sunday. Stocks will race for national points and B Mods will race for track and national points each night.

The Lakeside Speedway is a 4/10-mile semi-banked dirt oval located 1.0 mile west of I-435 (exit 18) on SR 5 (northwest of Kansas City, Kan.). For more information, check out the track’s website at
