Sometimes you have to wait until the end of the season for specials to roll around at your favorite race track.

Not Lakeside Speedway!

Friday night, April 22, the USMTS joins the USRA Stock Cars, USRA B Mods, Grand Nationals and Factory Stocks. It should be a night chalked full of excitement.

Lakeside Speedway plays host on a weekly basis to some of the best racing the Midwest has to offer. Throw in the USMTS Modifieds and the action goes up by 10.

Todd Staley and his band of aces will come in looking to compete for the top prize of $3,000.

After just one race in the USMTS MSD Central Region, Jason Hughes holds a slim lead in the points over Ryan ‘The Reaper’ Ryan Gustin.

As always the top guns of the USMTS will look to show the locals just how tough of competitors they are. Regulars like Kerry Davis, Darron Fuqua, Nic Bidinger, Tim Karrick and a host of others will look to see if they can pull off the ‘David vs. Goliath’ upset.

Last week Todd Shute made his first trip to Lakeside Speedway a memorable one as he drove to the USRA Modified feature win. Shute gained a lot of valuable knowledge heading into this Friday night’s race.

Not only is the USMTS invading Lakeside but so will the Iron Man Challenge featuring Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods.

This means even more heavy hitters coming out to test the local competition at Lakeside Speedway.

So far in two features this season at Lakeside in the USRA Stock Car division there have been two different winners.

Trevor Hunt went for the opening night win two weeks ago and last week it was Kevin Anderson getting the victory.

In the past few years the USRA Stock Cars have been one of the most exciting classes to watch.

Chad Clancy has had strong command of his Rage Chassis this season. Currently he has two wins at Lakeside Speedway and last Saturday he notched win #3 at another area track. It is safe to say that Clancy is a man on a mission here in the early part of 2016.

The action doesn’t end with those three classes. Grand Nationals and the newly-minted Factory Stocks will add their flair to the night.

The 5th Annual Tompkins Industries Rumble on the River’s Edge at the Lakeside Speedway will be one of the best races of the year, so make sure your plans for tomorrow night include this annual event!
