Officials at the Lakeside Speedway are excited to announce that “Big” Ed Beckley will be performing at the Lakeside Speedway on Friday, June 26. He will be attempting a ramp-to-ramp jump over 10 new Chevrolet trucks on his Harley-Davidson.

“Thank you Jesus for the opportunity to do these jumps and share my faith and witness to these great people who attend events like this,” said Beckley, whose last appearance in Kansas City was back in 1981 at the old Lakeside Speedway—the same place Evel Knievel had jumped at a few years prior. “No motorcycle daredevil has attempted a ramp-to-ramp jump over cars at the new Lakeside Speedway, so I am making history and will be doing my best to make an exciting and safe jump.”

Beckley is originally from Western Kansas, and invites all of his friends, family and the fans to Lakeside Speedway to cheer him on. For more information about Beckley, visit www.bigedbeckley.net online.

In addition to Beckley's record-setting jump on Friday, June 26, Lakeside Speedway will also have prizes for fans as well. Some of the items to be thrown into the crowd include T-shirts, hats, tickets to future events,  tickets to Kansas City T-Bones basebell games, gift cards and cash.

Best of all, the “Big” Ed Beckley jump and all the prizes and give-aways are all part of your regular Weekly Racing Series admission ticket. Adult grandstand tickets are $12, kids ages 7-12 are $6 and children ages 6 and under are admitted free with a paid adult. Military personnel, students and seniors over 62 get in for $10 with proper I.D. Pit passes are $30.

Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps start at 6:45 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. For more information check out www.lakesidespeedway.net.
