After working on the track Friday afternoon, officials determined that the track was not safe to race on and races were canceled for Friday, June 5. Mother Nature was even less kind overnight, so the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series race for Saturday, June 6, was rained out and has been rescheduled for Wednesday, July 1. All pre-purchased tickets will be honored for that date. Any questions call Lakeside Speedway at 913-299-9206 on Monday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Weekly Racing Series action continues next Friday, June 12, featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods and Grand Nationals. Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps start at 6:45 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. Adults grandstand tickets are $12, kids ages 7-12 are $6 and children ages 6 and under are admitted free with a paid adult. Military personnel, students and seniors over 62 get in for $10 with proper ID. Pit passes are $30.
