Lakeside Speedway is located at Exit 18 off I-435 in Kansas City, Kansas.
To all drivers desiring to compete in the first annual USRA Nationals at Lakeside Speedway in the Hobby Stock, Stock Car, B Mod, or A Mod classes all that is required to compete is complete the registration, pay the pit fees, and have a USRA license and legal USRA racecar. There is no minimum race amount required to compete. Temporary license are not available. Stock cars competing under the transitional rules are allowed to register and compete provided they meet the USRA rules or transitional rules. In 2015 all Stock Cars must meet the complete USRA rules.

"Race Fans Update: Lakeside Speedway is aware that the State of Kansas has recently passed open carry legislation (K.S.A. 12-16,124) that will take effect on 07/01/2014. Lakeside Speedway currently bans conceal carry on the property and with the implementation of this new law we will be posting official Kansas State signage (link provided below) that ban both concealed carry and open carry while at Lakeside Speedway. Lakeside Speedway’s goal is to provide quality racing entertainment in a family friendly environment for our patrons of all ages. No Firearms Signage
Winter weather in May has forced the cancellation of races at Lakeside Speedway on May 3, 2013 and I-35 Speedway on May 4, 2013. The weather forecast also closes any possibility of a Sunday makeup at Lakeside for this weekend as has occurred two out of the three weeks the racing facility has been open.
Make plans to be at Lakeside Speedway, Friday, May 10th, as C.A.R.B. Night will be held and the racing begins with the USRA A-Mod make-up feature from April 14th. Immediately following the A-Mod feature will be a complete night of heat races, last chance races and features for all four classes; Factory Stocks, USRA B-Mods, Grand Nationals, and USRA A-Mods.
May 11th will continue with I-35 Speedway ‘s normal weekly racing featuring the Grand Nationals, IMCA A Mods, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Hobby Stocks along with the always exciting rapidly growing class of Midwest Outlaw Lightning Sprints.
Lakeside Speedway, continues every Friday night through October with gates opening at 5:00pm, hot laps at 6:45pm, and the first race gets under way at 7:30pm. Adult ticket prices are $12.00, kids 7-12 $6.00, and children 6 and younger admitted FREE. Senior Citizen’s and military personnel with ID are admitted for $10.
I-35 Speedway, continues every Saturday night through October with gates opening at 4:30pm, hot laps at 6:30pm, and the first race gets under way at 7:00pm. Adult ticket prices are $12.00, kids 7-12 $6.00, and children 6 and younger admitted FREE. Senior Citizen’s and military personnel with ID are admitted for $10.
